Bob Sartor is a member of the Board of Trustees and serves as Chairman of the Governance and Bylaws Committee. With over 40 years of experience in leadership, management, planning, and execution roles, Bob is a highly respected former military and business professional. A decorated Marine Corps combat veteran, businessman, and entrepreneur, he supports quality youth-development programs that nurture young individuals into responsible citizens. His dedicated support and advocacy for the Young Marines have significantly contributed to advancing its mission. Bob has a diverse professional background, including roles as a defense contractor, consultant, and business owner, providing strategic leadership on organizational and operational management issues. Additionally, he has served as Mayor and Councilman of the Town of Hollywood Park, Texas, a north-central suburb of San Antonio.
Bob displays a commitment to community service through his involvement with many nonprofit organizations in a variety of roles. Among these, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Conservation Society of San Antonio, where he has held positions, including Chairman of the Strategic Planning-Implementation Committee, Vice-Chairman of the Bylaws Committee, and Finance Chairman of the Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA) annual fund-raising event. Bob serves as the Vice-President of the SS American Memorial Foundation, a support organization for veterans and first responders in Seguin, Texas.
He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Texas A&M Lettermen’s Association on the Policies & Procedures and Membership Committees and continues to contribute to the Athletic Hall of Fame Selection Committee. A native of San Antonio and a graduate of Texas A&M University, Bob is a member of the American Legion and a Lifetime Member many organizations including the Texas A&M University Lettermen’s Association, Society of White House Military Aides, Marine Corps Association, Military Officers Association of America, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He has been appointed by the Governor of the State of Texas as an Honorary Admiral in the Texas Navies.
