The Young Marines training program stands out for its comprehensive approach, preparing Young Marines not just in physical fitness but in building character and leadership skills.
Each Young Marine undergoes a rigorous 26-hour orientation over several weeks, focusing on physical fitness, historical knowledge, customs and courtesies, close-order drill, and military rank structure. This foundational training sets the stage for their development as disciplined and well-rounded individuals.
Following orientation, Young Marines gain additional skills, earn ranks, and wear the Young Marines uniform with pride. They work towards earning ribbon awards, which are not just decorations but symbols of significant achievement in various areas:
- Leadership
- Community service
- Swimming
- Academic excellence
- First aid
- Drug-resistance education
Each ribbon represents a milestone in their journey, reflecting their commitment to personal development and service.
By donating to the Young Marines National Foundation, you’re investing in the future leaders of our community and nation, helping them achieve their potential and wear their achievements with honor.
